1. Amour. Anne and Georges are two retired music teachers with a daughter who lives abroad. One day, Anne has an attack and due to a surgery that doesn’t succeed, she is left partially paralysed and confined to a wheelchair. Her state further worsens, making it hard for Georges to take care of her.


2. Argo is an American film based on an account published in 2007 of the “Canadian Caper”, in which a CIA operative, led the rescue of six U.S. diplomats from Tehran, Iran during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

7. Lincoln focuses on the struggle of the president Lincoln to have The Thirteenth Amendment, that outlaws slavery and involuntary servitude, passed by United States House of Representatives.



8. Silver Linings Playbook. After being released from a mental institution, Pat Solitano moves back in his parents house and tries to find a way to reconcile with his wife who moved away. At a dinner in his friend’s house he meets Tiffany Maxwell, who recently lost her husband and her job. Between them starts a crazy friendship.



9. Zero Dark Thirty chronicles American efforts to capture or kill Osama Bin Laden.
